I don’t think the weak and indecisive Jimmy Carter’s presidency was as far down the road to self destruction as is Obama’s. After all, by his second year, all Jimmy could lay claim to is giving the Panama Canal to the Chinese, among some of his other global ‘peace initiatives’.


Carter is, however, a classic example of the liberal mindset. One of the most obvious failings that Baraq Hussein Obama has in common with Jimmy, is the absolute tone-deafness they have with regard to the American people.

It was over for Carter when he went in front of national television, to piously proclaim that Americans had to make do with less. That we should turn down our heaters and we should put on sweaters instead. Americans don’t like being lectured, most especially when the lecturer is seen as weak and indecisive… another strong similarity between Obama and Jimmy.

I’ve written about Jimmy Carter’s virulent anti-semitism before. Obama’s is none the less virulent, for all that he tries to cover it over with rhetoric and banal platitudes. Carter was anti-American in that he refused to acknowledge American exceptionalism and held the globalists’ opinion that no country should be more prosperous than another, and that economic stagnation was to be our lot.


Historians will look back at the Obama presidency and postulate about when his star’s light diminished. I could be flippant and say the minute his presidency started, but in fact I believe it was with the first stimulus. A lot of people didn’t like the way that whole thing was engineered. Then along came the health care issue and that’s when the other two wheels came off the Obama wagon. The American people figured out that what they thought was a new kind of politician was actually the embodiment of the worst of the old Chicago ward politics of last century, wrapped in the doctrine of extreme leftist ideology and a visible contempt for this country and its founding principles.

There are many out there who are openly questioning just who and what Baraq Obama really is. No president in history has had his background so obscured, scrubbed and sanitized as this one has. His ‘affinity’ for all things Muslim, when the country is just coming to realize the depth of the danger we are in from this pernicious ‘cult of death’, only serves to heighten the public’s suspicion of his hidden agenda.

Obama has just about nailed his own lid shut with the endorsement of the now infamous Cordoba mosque. It was another startling display of contempt for the people of this country. The people of America are getting ready to speak in no uncertain terms.

We don’t want Baraq Obama’s agenda… not at all… not even a tiny bit.

Remember that iftar dinner the president sponsored? The dinner that got him in trouble because he came out in strong support of the mega-mosque at Ground Zero, support from which he backed away the very next day? Well, it turns out he delivered another blatant lie at that dinner, one that slipped under the radar because his support of the Ground Zero Mosque was so controversial.

In his remarks at the iftar observance, Obama claimed that the “first” iftar dinner in the WhiteHouse was hosted by Thomas Jefferson.

Tonight, we are reminded that Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity. And Ramadan is a reminder that Islam has always been part of America. The first Muslim ambassador to the United States, from Tunisia, was hosted by President Jefferson, who arranged a sunset dinner for his guest because it was Ramadan—making it the first known iftar at the White House, more than 200 years ago.

In this way, Obama tried to make it seem as if the United States has respected Islam since the early Republic and has observed its celebrations for two hundred years. But this is a major stretching of the truth. Thomas Jefferson did not hold an “iftar” dinner, unless you might call the dinner Obama references “iftar by default.”

Naturally, the left-wing Old Media took Obama’s blatant misconstruction of historical events and went even farther down the road of untruths and lies. The New York Times published a story the next day referencing Jefferson’s mythical iftar dinner and made of it a “White House tradition”!

In hosting the iftar, Mr. Obama was following a White House tradition that, while sporadic, dates to Thomas Jefferson, who held a sunset dinner for the first Muslim ambassador to the United States. President George W. Bush hosted iftars annually.

What tosh. There has never been a tradition of iftar dinners at the White House, sporadic or otherwise, until after the year 1992. Jefferson’s dinner was no iftar dinner and no

other president until Bill Clinton even hosted one. We have a “tradition” of exactly three presidents holding iftar dinners, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and nowBarack Obama. Not much of a tradition that.

So what of this claim of Jefferson’s iftar dinner? As Jihad Watch informs us, there never really was one. The truth is that in 1805 Jefferson invited to a dinner at the WhiteHouse one Sidi Soliman Melli Melli, the diplomatic envoy that the Bey of Tunis sent to Washington. The time set for this dinner was 3:30 PM, the normal time that everyone then ate dinner in those days. Since it was Ramadan, however, the envoy informed Jefferson that he could not attend until the sun went down because he was observing his fasting ritual.

Jefferson then offered to push his dinner hour until the sun went down as a courtesy to his invited guest. It was as simple as that. There was no mention of any iftar anything. President Jefferson simply moved the hour of dinner to suit the envoy. There was no change to what was served in order to suit Muslim needs, there was no acknowledgment of the Muslim faith, and no observance of any “iftar” dinner. Jefferson was just being a nice guy.

And of this historical incident, Obama and his cohorts in the left-wing, Old Media have created a mythical “sporadic tradition.” But for Obama and the New York Times to mislead the American people into imagining that the White House has celebrated iftar all the way back to 1805 is simply a straight out lie.

Most ulpan grads over 30 unable to read, write Hebrew fluently

Sixty percent of immigrants to Israel over the age of 30 who graduate from Hebrew ulpan instructional courses are unable to read write and speak Hebrew fluently, according to studies presented Sunday to the Knesset's Immigration and Absorption Committee.

According to the findings, immigrants' language problems may have consequences such as unemployment and isolation, which can preclude their successful integration.

Immigration and Absorption Minister Ze'ev Boim has responded to the findings by setting up an inter-departmental committee to deal with the issue.

The ministry has also set up a new interactive television channel, launched with the aim of helping new immigrants learn Hebrew.

Immigration and Absorption Committee Chair Michael Nudelman described the findings as a "catastrophe for the state." MK Marina Solodkin blamed the education ministry for not dealing with the matter with the appropriate urgency.

"Many immigrants ask me whether the state is indifferent as to whether we speak Hebrew or not. It is the responsibility of the adult education department to improve the standard of teaching at the Hebrew schools."

State provides less than half of needed lessons Meir Peretz, director of the adult education division of the Education Ministry, pointed out that the state only provides 500 hours of Hebrew lessons for each immigrant, despite the fact that international studies have shown that an average of 1,320 hours of tuition is required to learn a foreign language.

"Eighty percent of teachers in the Hebrew schools are academics while 20 percent are experienced teachers. We need to examine the linguistic integration of the immigrants alongside their general integration" argued Peretz.

Riva Aviad, director of the language acquisition division of the Education Ministry, commented that "the decision to allocate 500 hours [of tuition per immigrant] was taken for administrative rather than pedagogic reasons. This ruling means that Israel's immigrant community is insufficiently provided for. What is missing for immigrant students who graduate from Hebrew school is the support stage." Aviad cited news in easy Hebrew as one example.

The Immigration and Absorption Ministry has stated that Boim set up the inter-departmental committee with the Education Ministry "to bring about meaningful change in Hebrew language instruction at ulpanim."

The ministry will also be providing technical staff for the new TV station. The station, which will available on cable and satellite TV, will broadcast news in easy Hebrew, and provide word puzzles to ease immigrants into the Hebrew language.

Viewers of the channel will be able get assistance in five languages, including Russian and Amharic, by using their remote control.

The channel's set-up costs will be covered by the broadcasters, in the hope that they will attract new subscribers to their networks.

I have yet to hear individuals like Rauf or the CAIR crowd categorically condemn

violence and loudly proclaim that it is anathema to Islamic law.

IMAM FEISAL ABDUL RAUF PREDICTS VIOLENCE !!!!

I know that everyone was shocked and surprised that Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf told Soledad O’Brien on CNN yesterday that if the “Cordoba Initiative” mosque adjacent to Ground Zero were to be relocated, then violence would surely follow throughout the Muslim world. Who’d have thought it? Violence committed by Muslims?

But then, the good Imam is playing this by The Book in threatening that Islam would be offended if it couldn’t build a victory mosque next to the former World Trade Center site. The Book, in this case, is the playbook Muslims have learned to use against the West, ever since the Nancyboy liberal elites asked, “Why do they hate us so?” on Sept 12, 2001.

The thing that makes the Imam’s admonition so ominous is that we know Islam appears to be the only world religion currently advocating violence against its enemies and non-believers (infidels).

Surely there are “moderate” Muslims who abhor violence. But they don’t seem to be getting the press these days, as news reports of suicide bombings, beheadings, stonings, honor killings and all sorts of other barbaric crimes committed on behalf of some form of Islam creep their way into our consciousness.

Already there are violent and rabid demonstrations against Christians throughout the Muslim world protesting the Rev. Terry Jones’s plans to burn Korans on Saturday as an act of remembrance of the 9/11 victims. Jones may be a whack job from the far reaches of the lunatic fringe, but like Rauf who has a legal right to build a mosque next to Ground Zero, Jones has the right to burn as many Korans as he can legally acquire.

Rauf’s admonition that violence might ensue should the mosque be moved, was made with the same clear-eyed innocence as the warnings put forth by American Muslims against Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of the South Park ‘Muhammad’ issue, which was subsequently censored by Comedy Central, the cable channel carrying the show.

“We’re not advocating violence.” they say, “We’re just concerned that there might be violence.” And of course violence will follow each and every time these wide-eyed innocents warn of its possibility.

I have yet to hear individuals like Rauf or the CAIR crowd categorically condemn violence and loudly proclaim that it is anathema to Islamic law and I don’t recommend that anyone hold their breath waiting for them to do so. What you will hear is some politically correct drivel, such as is found on the Cordoba Initiative’s web site.

“In recent years the global public has shown an increased interest in Islam and the Muslim world. Many facets of Islamic life, religious, cultural and artistic, remain underrepresented and misunderstood. The Muslim community must provide an opportunity to educate individuals about Islam through education and organized experiences of art, culture and entertainment.”

I can readily understand why in recent years the global public has shown increased interest in Islam and the Muslim world. Don’t quote me, but I think it has to do with bombings in Places like London, Madrid, Bali, New York, Washington and numerous other locales. People would be quite foolish if they did not display “increased interest” in a movement, religious or secular, that could lay claim to as many deaths as can be attributed to Islam in the last decade or two.

I believe Rauf to be an agent provocateur who presents a perfectly reasonable and smiling face to those whom he despises. I doubt that the mosque he wishes to build will ever become a reality. But then again, maybe this whole thing isn’t so much about building a mosque as it is about inciting more hatred against America.

I read about the Cordoba House established in Cordoba, Spain

many centuries ago after the Moors conquered the Christians.

A cathedral was converted into a mosque and named accordingly.

A reversal happened when the Moors were driven from Spain.

There should be no mosque near Ground Zero in New York so long as
there are no churches or synagogues in Saudi Arabia. The time for
double standards that allow Islamists to behave aggressively toward us

The proposed "Cordoba House" overlooking the World Trade Center site –
where a group of jihadists killed over 3000 Americans and destroyed
one of our most famous landmarks - is a test of the timidity,

Those Islamists and their apologists who argue for "religious

no churches or synagogues in all of Saudi Arabia. In fact no Christian
or Jew can even enter Mecca. And they lecture us about tolerance.

If the people behind the Cordoba House were serious about religious
toleration, they would be imploring the Saudis, as fellow Muslims, to
immediately open up Mecca to all and immediately announce their
intention to allow non-Muslim houses of worship in the Kingdom. They
should be asked by the news media if they would be willing to lead
such a campaign.

We have not been able to rebuild the World Trade Center in nine years.
Now we are being told a 13 story, $100 million megamosque will be
built within a year overlooking the site of the most devastating
surprise attack in American history.

Finally where is the money coming from? The people behind the Cordoba
House refuse to reveal all their funding sources. America is experiencing an Islamist cultural-political offensive
designed to undermine and destroy our civilization. Sadly, too many of
our elites are the willing apologists for those who would destroy them if they could.
No mosque. No self deception. No surrender.
The time to take a stand is now - at this site on this issue.

aligned with Adolf Hitler. The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazi's in killing Jews.

Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th,
2001? If they weren't flying planes into the World Trade Center , the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East . No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day. Strangely,
the very "moderate" Muslims who's asses you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo , Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.


And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the "rich heritage" Muslims have here in America .

Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates.
They were Muslim.

And now we can add November 5, 2009 - the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a
doctor and a psychiatrist who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan .

Obama adviser: U.S
. ‘ideal place for renewal of Islam’


A religion adviser to President Obama has close ties to the imam who wants to build a 13-story Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero.

The two have been documented together discussing America as “the ideal place for a renewal of Islam,” WND has learned.

In February, Obama named a Chicago Muslim, Eboo Patel, to his Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

Patel is the founder and executive director of Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core, which says it promotes pluralism by teaming
people of different faiths on service projects.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the controversial Muslim leader behind the plan to build the Islamic center and mosque two blocks
from Ground Zero, wrote the afterword to Patel’s 2006 book, “Building the Interfaith Youth Movement: Beyond Dialogue to Action.”

Patel is listed as one of 15 “Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow” on the website for the American Society for the Advancement of Muslims,
or ASAM, which is led by Rauf.

In Patel’s 2007 book, “Saving Each Other, Saving Ourselves,” he recounts discussing with Rauf the future of Islam in the U.S.
Rauf “understood the vision immediately and suggested that I visit him and his wife, Daisy Khan, at their home the following
evening,” Patel recalled.

Khan founded the ASAM with her husband and has aided him in his plans for the mosque near Ground Zero.

“The living room of their apartment on the Upper West Side was set up like a mosque, with prayer rugs stretched from wall to wall,
” wrote Patel in his book.

Continued Patel: “I arrived at dusk, prayed the maghrib prayer with Daisy and Imam Feisal and then talked with them about
how America, with its unique combination of religious devotion and religious diversity, was the ideal place for a renewal of Islam.”

“In the twentieth century, Catholicism and Judaism underwent profound transformations in America,” Rauf observed.

“I think, this century, in America, Islam will do the same.”

Patel boasts of a “critical mass” of Muslims in the U.S.

“Islam is a religion that has always been revitalized by its migration,” he wrote.
“America is a nation that has been constantly rejuvenated by immigrants.
There is now a critical mass of Muslims in America.”

Patel last March wrote a Huffington Post piece referring to Obama’s former “green jobs” czar Van Jones as a “faith hero.”

“In my last post on Van, I called him an American patriot,” wrote Patel. “That is high praise in my book. But watching
Van’s speech at the NAACP, I have another title for him, one that I reserve for the true giants of history. Van Jones is a faith hero.”

Jones resigned in September after it was exposed he founded a communist revolutionary organization and signed a statement
that accused the Bush administration of possible involvement in the 9/11 attacks. Jones also called for “resistance” against the U.S.

Jones previously stated his advocacy for green jobs was part of a broader movement to destroy the U.S. capitalist system.

WND reported that one day after the 9/11 attacks, Jones led a vigil that expressed solidarity with Arab and Muslim Americans as
well as what he called the victims of “U.S. imperialism” around the world.

Rauf, meanwhile, has caused a stir with his proposed $100 million, 13-story Islamic cultural center and mosque near the corner
of Park Place and West Broadway.

Rauf sparked controversy earlier this month when he refused during a live radio interview to condemn violent jihad groups as terrorists.

Rauf repeatedly refused on the air to affirm the U.S. designation of Hamas as a terrorist organization or call the Muslim Brotherhood extremists.

The Brotherhood openly seeks to spread Islam around the world, while Hamas is committed to Israel’s destruction and is responsible for
scores of suicide bombings, shootings and rocket attacks aimed at Jewish civilian population centers.

During the interview, Rauf was also asked who he believes was responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks.

“There’s no doubt,” stated Rauf. “The general perception all over the world was it was created by people who were sympathetic to Osama
bin Laden. Whether they were part of the killer group or not, these are details that need to be left to the law-enforcement experts.”

Rauf has been on record several times blaming U.S. policies for the Sept. 11 attacks. He has been quoted refusing to admit Muslims
carried out the attacks.

Referring to the Sept. 11 attacks, Rauf told CNN, “U.S. policies were an accessory to the crime that happened. We (the U.S.) have been
an accessory to a lot of innocent lives dying in the world. Osama bin Laden was made in the USA.”

Madeline Brooks, a reporter who attended a sermon this year by Rauf, quoted the Islamic leader as stating “some people say it was
Muslims who attacked on 9/11.”

Rauf’s 2004 book had two different titles, one in English and the second in Arabic.

In the U.S., his book was called “What’s right with America is what’s right with Islam.”

The same book, published in Arabic, bore the name

“The Call From the WTC Rubble: Islamic Da’wah From the Heart of America Post-9/11.”

Canary in the Coalmine: Europe’s Decoy Jews

Decoy Jew is a new phrase in the Netherlands. Jews are no longer safe in major
Dutch cities such as Amsterdam. Since 1999, Jewish organizations in the
Netherlands have been complaining that Jews who walk the Dutch streets wearing
skullcaps risk verbal and physical attacks by young Muslims. Being insulted,
spat at or attacked are some of the risks associated with being recognizable as
a Jew in contemporary Western Europe.


Last week, a television broadcast showed how three Jews with skullcaps, two
adolescents and an adult, were harassed within thirty minutes of being out in
the streets of Amsterdam. Young Muslims spat at them, mocked them, shouted
insults and made Nazi salutes. Dirty Jew, go back to your own country, a group
of Moroccan youths shouted at a young indigenous Dutch Jew. It is rather
ironic, the young man commented, adding that if one goes out in a burka one
encounters less hostility than if one wears a skullcap.


In an effort to arrest the culprits who terrorize Jews, the Amsterdam
authorities have ordered police officers to walk the streets disguised as Jews.
The Dutch police already disguise officers as decoy prostitutes, decoy gays and
decoy grannies to deter muggings and attacks on prostitutes, homosexuals and
the elderly. Apparently sending out the decoys has helped reduce street crime.
The decoy Jew has now been added to the police attributes.


The deployment of decoy Jews, however, is being criticized by leftist parties
such as the Dutch Greens. Evelien van Roemburg, an Amsterdam counselor of the Green Left Party, says that using a decoy by the police amounts to provoking a crime, which is itself a criminal offence under Dutch law. Unfortunately, the situation in Amsterdam is not unique. Jews in other Dutch cities also regularly complain about harassment. So do Jews in neighboring countries.


On Monday, the Belgian newspaper De Standaard reported that large numbers of
Jews are leaving Antwerp for America, Britain or Israel. Antwerp nicknamed the
Jerusalem of the North is one of the major centers of Jewish culture in the
Low Countries. In London, you are not harassed if you wear a skullcap, but here
you are, a young Antwerp Jew told the paper.


Kleinblatt, a famous Jewish Antwerp bakery, which has been handed down from
father to son since 1903, will soon break with that tradition because the
bakers son has emigrated to the U.S. We no longer feel safe and welcome here,
a young Jew who is leaving for London told De Standaard. Muslim immigrants
blame us for what is happening in Israel. Another young Jew, who is leaving for
New York, says: New York is a paradise for Jews. Unlike Belgium, non-Jews in
America are pro-Israel.


Ultra-orthodox Jews remain in Antwerp, but the less orthodox are leaving in
droves. Even Jacques Wenger, the director of Shomre Hadas, the Jewish community center in Antwerp, is emigrating to Israel. If the current trend continues, he predicts, in fifty years’ time there will be no Jews left in Antwerp except for the ultra-orthodox.


It is often said that the Jews are the canary in the coalmine. When the Jews
feel compelled to leave, the light of freedom is being extinguished. Something
is badly wrong when the police need to deploy decoy Jews. Once again, the
specter of anti-Semitism is haunting Europe. If the Europeans do not stand with
the Jews, they deserve no freedom themselves and cities such as Amsterdam and
Antwerp will soon be Islamic cities.
