My Microsoft Outlook is stuck permanently Offline in one of my computers and I have tried all of the msn fixes without success.

I must add that it was working just fine until I tried the free Office 2007 Beta and removed it. I re-installed Office 2003 twice after cleaning all of the leftovers. But still no success.

Would appreciate any help in English if you can but French is Ok too.

You have to check the parameters of your Outlouk such as :
- POP3 server,
- SMPT server,
- your mailbox address,
- and so on

To tell you the truth I have my doubts about downloading some of those new softwares. I changed my microsoft hotmail conventional to the Beta Live and bingo like you all kind of troubles came out, veruy intermittent ans too often blocked..
It seems that there is a conflict between this new update and the old programs and those new Beta free trials are obviously free because those big software companies want us to try their new products and test them and that way find out all the bugs and fix them along the way before they can sell the program or get you on something else with your new subscription..
So now you have one big problem. I also have one and now let's try to go back to the old programs that worked fine. Not so simple : something have changed in the windows registry or some old commands have been erased and replaced by Beta ones, not so easy.
If you reinstall Windows you will have to back- up your hard disk first ...and on and on..

I will ask around and if some good solution pops out I will let you know.

When you push "send-receive", do you receive mail?
try to know if it's a matter of settings or just that you seem to be offline.

I have tried everything and more and if all fails then its time to reformat. Thankfully I have another computer with all of the programs working just fine.

I am pleased to report that the problem is fixed. Service Pack 2 for Office Professional 2003 did it beautifully.

Ce sujet sur le "bricolage" a encore prouve combien il nous manquait sur ce forum. Depanner les amis en temps de "crise" surtout lorsqu'il s'agit d'ordinateurs, et bien voila un probleme qui a ete regle par la solution decouverte finalement par Anidavid et que beaucoup d'entre nous pourrions utiliser , dans l'avenir,le cas echeant.
Bravo pour Anidavid et aussi Bravo a Miven pour avoir cree cree ce sujet passionant.
